Brazil - Rancho Grande - Natural
Orange Zest, Nutella, Cream Soda
Coffee production began at the Rancho Grande Farm in 1933, today it is run by Jose Carlos Reis and his son Flavio Feis, The mission of the farm is to responsibly produce coffee of the highest possible quality without neglecting the importance of protecting the environment and the caring for the well-being of its employees. A number of employees live on the farm in houses provided with subsidised electricity and food.
This lot is a natural Acaia that has been dried in the static boxes which use both hot and cold air to dry the coffees over a period of 7 days to ensure a smooth even drying.
We were lucky enough to visit this farm in 2018 with Falcon Specialty and were hosted by Cocatrel Direct Trade. Rancho Grande is impressive, well managed and in a ridiculously beautiful setting! We are committed to buying from producers who have hosted us and this single variety and processing method makes it a unique coffee to both roast and taste.
