Our decafs are cupped as regular raw green coffee samples and are specifically identified for decaffeination. With this decaf from the Huila region the process happens 'in country' in Colombia before the coffee goes to export and therefore cuts out an extra two journeys, carbon emissions and expense of the bean arriving with us. What more the coffee is in season unlike many decafs which are already old and then sent to be decaffeinated to give them a further route to market. Our choice which we blind cup (taste) against many others allows us to maintain both the integrity of the quality of the coffees we choose, but also to extend our intentional and responsible sourcing to our decaf offerings giving it and our decaf drinkers the same respect and quality focus! You shouldn't be able to tell that it's decaf at all! Enjoy!
