We are proud supporters of the non-profit organisation, Grounds for Health. A charity which focuses on providing cervial cancer screenings and preventative treatments and programs to women in Lating America and Africa.
Founded in 1996, Grounds for Health was started by a member of the coffee industry who recognised thousands of women were needlessly dying in rural coffee growing areas from cervical cancer.
Born out of, and retaining a strong relationship with the coffee farming industry, the charity address three main focuses to their work:
- Reducing incidence through direct campaigining and communication.
- Increased access to healthcare and screenings.
- Education and training to local health providers to screen and treat cervical pre-cancers.
To date, Grounds for Health has screened 61,368 women and treated 4,177, as well as trained over 400 healthcare providers throughout the regions too.
