On Tuesday 13th February we welcomed Jack from DRWakefield to our roastery for an extra special B Corp cupping. We were lucky enough to be joined live by Isabela who is the sustainability coordinator at the world's first B Corp coffee farm, Daterra Farm. Isabela gave us a fantastic overview of the incredible work they are doing at Daterra Farm, including several innovations that are working on to do right by the planet and secure coffee production in the region that they farm in.
Jack then talked us through the relationship between DRWakefield and Daterra, before leading us through a cupping of coffees from the farm. We cupped across the full quality spectrum, from their base level lots all the way to their high-end masterpieces.
The evening was wrapped up with an intro to our current offering from Daterra Farm, the incredible Low Caf Reserve. Kris talked through the inspiration for his UKBC routine and chatted about our commitment to B Corp, and the value in maintaining B Corp values of environmental and social responsibility across the full coffee supply chain.
