Meet The Team: Anna, Head Roaster

We’re a small yet mighty team here at Dear Green, and it’s time to introduce you to another of our members, Anna. We hope you enjoy getting to meet our passionate coffee crew. Read more about Dear Green or follow us on Instagram.

What’s your name and where are you from? 

My name is Anna and I’m from a little coastal town in Fife called Burntisland. I moved to Glasgow for uni and loved it so much I stayed!

What does a day at Dear Green look like for you?

Roasting beans! Sourcing and profiling new coffees. QC to make sure everything is always up to standard.

What's your favourite way to brew? 

We start every day with a batch brew, which I’m a big fan of. At home, I go between V60, Orea or espresso - it just depends what I’m in the mood for! 

Your favourite Dear Green coffee?

I'm currently loving the Kenya Ndimaini

What do you like most about working for a B Corporation? 

That we try to do the best we can for people and the planet!It’s important to me, so it’s exciting to be part of a team that focuses on that so heavily. 

Aside from coffee, what are your passions? 

Anything arty and crafty! I draw and paint, make macrame and other fibre arty things and do life drawing classes. Also love a bit of yoga or a good book. 

If you could have coffee with anyone in the world, who would it be and why? 

Bimini Bon Boulash. They’re simply just an absolute queen. 

What’s your favourite thing about speciality coffee?

It’s ever evolving and there’s always more to learn! Not to mention it’s delicious.

What tracks do you listen to for some seriously good vibes? 

It changes all the time but I am currently listening to a lot of Arlo Parks, Sylvan Esso, Glass Animals and (Glasgow’s own!) Joesef - anything nice and chill. Or ABBA.
