What’s your name, and where are you from?

My name is Josh and I’m from Glasgow.

What does a day at Dear Green look like for you?

It’s pretty varied - essentially, whatever marketing materials are required, primarily including content creation, blog writing, and other related activities. I’ll also join the team on an occasional side quest - typically to annoy them by putting a camera in their face! 

What's your favourite way to brew?

A V60 pourover does the job for me. It’s simple, relatively consistent, and I enjoy taking the time out of my day to do it properly and focus on nothing else.

Your favourite Dear Green coffee?

At heart, I’m a fancy little man who likes the finer things, so I like any coffee that’s fruity and floral, a little funky or experimental. The Ethiopian Hamasho Peaberry really does the trick for me at the moment. 

What do you like most about working for a B Corporation?

I think it’s all about setting an example, and the little consistent efforts we all make at the end of the day. It’s nice to have a workplace that is cognisant of and committed to that. 

Aside from coffee, what are your passions?

I love being outdoors, reading, and heavy metal.

If you could have coffee with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Ursula K. Le Guin. Although it would have to be at least three coffees so I could get all my questions in. 

What’s your favourite thing about speciality coffee?

Aside from the incredible flavours, the actual process of making a really good coffee is very rewarding and meditative. It’s also a world with endless depth, so there’s always something new to learn. 

What tracks do you listen to for some seriously good vibes?

Clarity of Cal by Vulfpeck or Never Enough by Turnstile are a guaranteed good mood.
