Burundi - Mutambu Hill - Washed

Bright, sweet, and bursting with character! This washed coffee opens with a vibrant citrus acidity of tangerine, balanced by  juicy bramble brightness and a smooth, lingering cane sugar finish.

Grown in the stunning high-altitude region of Rural Bujumbura, this Red Bourbon is cultivated by 384 smallholder family farms on tiny plots of nutrient-rich volcanic soil. The cool mountain climate slows down cherry ripening, allowing rich sugars to slowly develop to give this cup its signature intense sweetness.

Named after a local indigenous tree, the Migoti washing station acts as a vital community hub, partnering directly with these local producers alongside our importing partner, Omwani, to guarantee direct premium pricing and showcase the incredible potential of Burundian specialty coffee.

Fantastic coffee

I first found out about Dear Green coffee some years ago, I bought a coffee from our local Milk Barn and really enjoyed it. I used to buy my beans from the milk barn but then decided to buy direct from Dear Green, I purchased the Burundi beans, what a beautiful coffee to drink. I just try different beans from Dear Green and have never ever been disappointed with them.
Fantastic company to deal with, can’t say anymore about them except, it is always first class service from Dear Green.

Really nice coffee. Tried 4 coffees my first time with dear green. All of them exceptional but the Burundi definitely suits my tastes the most. Very nice all round flavour, with a natural sweetness. Lovely!
