WOW WOW WOW!! What a weekend we had at The Briggait a few weeks back, celebrating all things Scottish specialty coffee. This is the 8th time we’ve organised the festival and it just gets better and better every year!

Be Our Guest

This year, for the very first time, we invited some of our fantastic wholesale customers to join us on our ‘Be Our Guest’ stand. Thank you to the teams at The Alchemy Experiment & Meadow Road Coffee for coming along and serving delicious espresso.

Meet the Producer: Carlos Arcila 

We were honoured to welcome Carlos Arcila, founder of Cofinet and son of Jairo Arcila, the producer of our brand new Ice Processed coffee. A massive thanks to Carlos for taking the time to brew and chat to festival goers about his unique new coffee.

Martha: Dear Green’s Environmental Impact

Our ‘Step up to NetZero’ coordinator Martha spoke to attendees of the festival about our environmental impact and how we are making positive change to reduce it. Martha’s talk looked at the carbon emissions of our business, the whole supply chain and going beyond, as well as the challenges facing the coffee industry and progress in terms of fundamental changes. You’ll be able to listen to this talk soon as part of the brand new Glasgow Coffee Festival podcast. 

Dear Green x The Macallan

We partnered with our friends at The Macallan to present a unique whisky & coffee tasting session. The tasting showcased The Macallan Harmony Collection, a project that our founder, Lisa Lawson recently worked on. Big thanks to everyone that joined us and thank you to The Macallan for making it possible.

Dear Green Cupping: Our Highlights of the Year (So far) 

We had a great time present our highlights of the year (so far) to a packed cupping room on Sunday afternoon. We showcased several coffees, including our Washed vs Natural Duo from Eratoi, Jairo Arcila Ice Porcess, Ethiopian Odaco, Yenni Esperanza and loads more. It was a pleasure to share this delicious coffee with you all. Thank you for joining us. 

Panther Milk Takeover

Our pals at Panther Milk joined us on Sunday afternoon for a boozy takeover of our guest bar. The panther milk was flowing with plenty of tasty samples from the team. A massive thank you to the Panther Milk team for joining us. 

Tasty Orea Brews

Away from our guest bar, the Dear Green team had a fantastic time brewing up some of our best coffee’s on the Orea Brewer. The filter coffee was flowing, and it was great to see so many of you enjoying our coffee.
