It’s official, we’re Green Champions! And we couldn’t be prouder!
We can humbly say that we are no real experts on environmental issues or at blowing our own trumpet for that matter. However we are excited about sharing this news and to adding yet another award to the Dear Green trophy cabinet.
This one is pretty special as we're in our tenth year of Dear Green and have been environmentally aware since day one! Learning and adapting our work practices as we've grown and always being sensitive to our impact on the planet. For a business like ours to receive this award shows that consideration to the environment doesn't need to be difficult or a hinderance to progress, it is more than achievable and we're proud to be advocates of that!
So what actually happened at the awards? We were invited to the Glasgow Business Awards and nominated for the Green Champion Award. We went along to have a fabulous night out with other inspiring businesses, each making an amazing contribution to the city! The awards this year had a sustainability theme, right up our street!
We won! We were over the moon to accept the Green Champion Award, something we’ve had our eye on for a couple of years now. Not only was it so nice to go to a real event and hang out again as a team in a social environment, it was incredible to reconnect with other business owners again, each so passionate about what they do. We’ve missed those real person interactions in the era of online meetings!

Through working on our packagingsolution to making our working processes as eco friendly as possible, we’re taking responsibility for our environmental impact and making it as minimal as possible. From the coffee producers we work with to our loyal customer base and our amazing team at the roastery, we’re proud to accept this award on behalf of everyone who supports us at Dear Green.
Dear Green was founded out of a need for more quality, transparency, fairness and standards in the industry. To be committed to that - and bringing home awards feels pretty nice! A very welcome boost after a pretty tough time for us all. Thank you to every customer who has bought, sipped and enjoyed Dear Green coffee over the years, you’re helping us achieve great things.
After celebrating big last week, we’re back to doing what we do best, roasting great coffee!
