2025 was Dear Green’s biggest year yet. From this to that, it’s been a flat-out sprint from day one. That said, we made it, and now we’re in the mood to reflect on what has been a sometimes challenging, but always exciting year.
Here’s a loosely chronological look at everything we got up to over the last 12 months.
Recertified for 1% for the planet
As part of our commitment to the three C’s - coffee, community and climate - we’re proud to work with 1% for the Planet, an organisation that supports us in donating 1% of our revenue to environmental projects.
In the past, we’ve been able to focus our efforts towards some truly fantastic organisations, including Bute Forest, Wash House Garden, Bike For Good, Recyke-a-bike, Greenheart Growers, 2050 Action Group, and last but not least Omwani & Agri Evolve, who recently published a report on the progress they’ve made cultivating and distributing coffee seedlings to Ugandan coffee producers, with our support.
We’re proud to have played even a small role in the continued success of these organisations, or in our partnership with 1% For The Planet. If you want to read more about our connections to these organisations, you can do so here.
A visit from Daye Bensa
In February, we were lucky enough to welcome our friends, The Coffee Legends, to our Roastery.
As our importing partners since 2020, The Coffee Legends have provided us with some seriously high-scoring Ethiopian coffee. Having visited the Sidama farm in 2023, we knew their story was one worth sharing, and that’s precisely what happened as we celebrated the launch of their new book, Bunna: Ethiopian Coffee – A Modern-Day Story.

On a night that featured stories from the front lines of coffee importing and a cupping session featuring some sensational brews, the team were also kind enough to gift us some handcrafted bags made from coffee sacks.
Always a pleasure, never a chore - come back any time, guys!
Another brilliant B Corp month...
March was fairly business-as-usual, but for us, that means going above and beyond to meet our commitments to ethical practice.
A big part of this means not only observing, but actively taking part in important events like B Corp month. As a B Corp for the past five years, we’ve continuously worked to improve our B Corp score. This means constantly refining and evaluating our business practices, and we’re pleased to say that in 2024, we recorded another leap in our score of 33.4 points, taking us to 117.6 in total - making us one of the UK’s highest-scoring coffee roasters!
In 2025, we visited the Scottish Parliament to attend a reception with the B Corp community to celebrate our successes, our progress, and to look to the future with fellow purpose-driven Scottish B Corps.
...and another fantastic Glasgow Coffee Festival!
After over a decade, Glasgow Coffee Festival is part of the furniture in our calendar; it is always a whirlwind of activity and excitement! You can always rely on us to contribute to the festival through panel talks, share our sustainability and origin stories, pop up at guest bars and cuppings, and bring delicious coffee, of course! We like to have some surprises with us too.
As well as soft-launching our first Showcase coffee (more on this to come) and a delicious soft serve, we also gave festival-goers something a little different with a sweet and refreshing coffee cocktail made in collaboration with our pals at Oatly.
Inspired by Chappel Roan’s Pink Pony Club, the cocktail, Pink Oaty Club, featuring our Colombian Pink Bourbon coffee as a base, was complemented with raspberries, lychees, vanilla and cinnamon for a suitably summery, suitably sweet experience.
As always, we were absolutely mobbed - thanks to all those who came along to expand their palate and share coffee stories.
Showcase is launched
We’re proud to offer our customers exactly what they want, whether it's the reliability of our subscriptions, the consistency of our much-loved blends, or the variety and diversity of our single-origin range.

On top of that, we get excited about sharing the cutting edge of coffee’s rare, limited, and interesting microlots. To do this, we decided to launch a brand new line of coffees: SHOWCASE. First introduced at Glasgow Coffee Festival 2025, each coffee is defined by unique processing methods, renowned producers and flavours that’ll stop you in your tracks. Perfect for those looking for more experimental coffee experiences, the world's most talented coffee producers.
Thanks to all those who have tried these incredible beans. Your feedback has blown us away!
Team Dear Green is growing
With a growing list of wholesale customers and a larger roastery space, we’ve been bringing more coffee to more customers than ever, so it was time to call in reinforcements to support the fantastic work our team has done to date.
This meant bringing on FOUR amazing new team members: our new roastery assistants, Áine, Soren, and Charlotte, and our social media manager, Josh. With lots of smiley new faces, it’s been a blast to welcome them into the team, along with the great ideas they have for making us the best roastery we can be. Go team!
Anna & Lisa visit Geneva
The first of two big trips away in 2025, we were invited along by our friends at World of Coffee to their exhibition in Geneva.
Hosted by the SCA, the event, which featured over 350 exhibitors, welcomed 11,000 coffee fans for a weekend of everything a coffee fan could want: cuppings, tastings, workshops, lectures and closer looks at innovations in the world of coffee - the dream!
While we got to enjoy all of this as punters, we also got to spread the word about our own coffee. Hosted by our friends at Ceado, Lisa brewed our Ugandan Bukonzo Dream on our new favourite bit of kit - the Hoop, while Anna joined Cofinet to spread the word about our new Showcase range. We also popped up with Sage to sling some of our signature house blend, Goosedubbs, and our long-time trading partners, Omwani, for more Bukonzo Dream bliss.
After some serious grafting from Lisa and Anna, it was time to catch the 2025 Coffee in Good Spirits and World Latte Art Championships. Watching that hard work typifies the strength of our global coffee scene; we can’t wait for next year!
We moved roastery!
We know we haven’t mentioned this much...so one more time from the top!
Moving roastery was everything you’d expect, exciting, exhausting and maybe even a little bit scary. It was a big decision, but every day we continue to tweak and tinker with our new setup, and the benefits are immense.
With more space for green coffee, a dedicated roasting space, office space, and plenty of room to welcome guests for cuppings and tastings, the potential we’ve yet to tap into is enormous. Rest assured, we’ll be doing our best to fulfil it in 2026 with tours, classes, workshops, and all sorts of exciting events for esteemed guests and aspiring baristas alike.
You can see our progress from day one of our move on Instagram via the Roastery 101 series.
Doors Open Day 2025
Speaking of welcoming visitors, we were pleased to welcome members of the public into the roastery for a sneak peek.
Having taken part in Doors Open Day at our previous space, the whole team put in a lot of effort to get our main warehouse looking close to shipshape. To kick off the event (and to buy us a little extra tidying time!), our social media manager, Josh, took our guests on a tour around Bridgeton, exploring the area’s rich industrial history landmark by landmark.
With the Barras and our interactions with its businesses and its people being part of our DNA over the last decade, a tour like this felt like a way for us to embed ourselves in our new home, and it was a great way to start things off before inviting people in for a roastery tour and tasting session.
Thanks to all those who attended and gave lovely feedback for the tour and tasting - we’ll see you again next year!
Alex's epic journey
The second of our grand adventures in 2025 took us to Italy for a multi-part trip around the country. While this in itself was excitement enough, it was how we got there that really set this one apart!
As a B Corp business, we’re always looking for the most energy-efficient way to travel, no matter the trip. Ditching the long waiting times and significant environmental impact of plane travel, Alex embarked on an epic train journey from Glasgow Central Station to Milan and Florence (and back again).
Easily our most ambitious travel story to date, you can learn more about exactly how we did it and the impact of the journey in our blog.
Once in Milan, it was time for HOST Milano and La Marzocco’s Out of the Box trade shows, which gave us the opportunity to connect with businesses and individuals from the coffee world and beyond.
Alex then travelled further south to Florence, once again linking up with our friends at La Marzocco to their Accademia del Caffè Espresso experience. What was once La Marzocco’s primary factory facility has been transformed into a space that charts the business’s enduring legacy within the world of coffee through an incredible array of exhibits.
An unforgettable experience from top to bottom, we couldn’t be prouder of Alex for embarking on this journey, representing us on the world stage while staying true to our values.
All The Ladies returns!
Initially introduced in 2023 as a collection of women-produced coffees from cooperatives in Rwanda, Colombia & Guatemala, All The Ladies represents the pride we have in our coffee’s origin stories, and the women who make it all possible.

As a limited bundle, All The Ladies sadly can’t be with us all the time, but in 2025, we were pleased to announce its return. Now featuring coffees from Mexico, Rwanda and Kenya, we’ve come up with a trio that’s not only a like-for-like in its bold flavours, but also in its showcasing of the hard work of three women producers.
Party season!
Our birthday might be in December - but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down! December wasn’t just about Christmas parties and Secret Santas; we also took our barista setup out on the road to provide some of our favourite local businesses and organisations with a little perk up in the winter cold.
From bustling Christmas markets to the Women’s Library’s Feminist Festive Fayre, we’ve been popping up all over Glasgow and chatting to all sorts of lovely folks in the process.
Naturally, we did indulge in some festivities ourselves, heading along to Ka Pao in Glasgow’s West End for a well-earned team Christmas dinner!
From international adventures to putting down roots in our new home, 2025 was quite the ride, and we’re leaving it feeling inspired and excited for more.
We’re taking a little break over Christmas to let us refresh, but to everyone who’s drank our coffee, visited our roastery, collaborated with us, or cheered us on from afar - we couldn’t be more grateful.
Here’s to even more coffee, community, and climate-positive action in 2026.
